My dad was (talking) about gettin me a laptop. But he didnt say whether for sure he was getting me one. But the other day I recieved a thing in the mail from dell saying "Thank you for choosing dell." The inside said"in addition to offering you our gratitude, we're also bringing you limited time discounts on top brand-name accessories and ect...."

The inside just contained codes for savings of 20% and 10% off along with codes for accessories and electronics.

I am nosy so i wanted to know if anyone else recieved one after purchasing one. If my dad did, it would been bought online since he shops online. THanks!

You're gettin' a Dell!

Or someone is. Based on the text of what you read in the mail, that exactly what happened. The biggest, clearest clue was. "Thank you for coosing Dell." That's a dead givaway.

The discount codes are Dell's way of encouraging the purchaser to buy more stuff from them, such as printers, cameras, software, etc.

Yes they do send you something in the mail if you purchase something from them.

Normally it is called a Bill.

And no it may not have been purchased on-line. You actually call Dell on the phone and figure out what you want . So essentially it cannot be said that the Laptop was purchased on-line.

Sorry. That just sounds like one of their generic advertisements. (Does not do much good to send you a discount code AFTER you brought the PC). When I have purchased from Dell, I did receive a letter from them. But it detailed exactly what I have purchased, amounts, price, etc. What you listed does not sound like that kind of letter.

Best advise, ask you Dad... (and I hope he says yes)
