Well though you may not be there this weekend...if you are ever in Northern VA (Shenandoah Valley) check out Skyline Drive. There are lots of hiking, camping, and State Park activities. You can actually drive on Skyline Drive for a good couple of hours. The park itself runs through a couple states.

You should subscribe to " Backpacker" a very good magazine for a hiker. All kinds of info and trail maps they have a southeast hiking edition. Not sure if they have a website. you know it is Friday the 13 right ?

If I were in Columbia the first thing I do is go to Labraskas for a pizza. When I lived there spent half the time eating their pizza's. Lucky you.

you should volenteer to go pick up liter in state parks and woods stuff like that where animals live.and theres a really nice woodsy park in clemson S.C. right near the colloge and its FREE there are streams turtles and the air is great and its huge and there are not alot of people so its nice and quite

go to a forest and just walk through and look at the changing leave and the wonderment to fall nature and what god created and what humans will destroy and turn into housing and such
