Hi there. As we all know in any given news bulletin at the moment muslims seem to feature in at least two. Lately, excluding war stuff, it has featured on the vail and traditional dress but it seems to me it is allways something. I feel that non muslims are not welcome to comment on muslims who always take offense at whatever we say. It's all single minded religious prattle in my opinion (im an atheist) and i feel they should be quite and get off their high horse and make some effort to intigrate in our society.
I'm not a 'send um all home..' type but it's getting on my t**** at the moment!

hello! just had my wrist slapped by the mods! I appologise if i caused offence but i in now way intend to be racist or a pravocateur . I was just sick of the news going on. on religious matters i find all beliefs as wrong as each other (just my personal oppinion) and only mentioned islam on this occasion as it was topical. I find 'end times theory' right wing christianity more scary. anyway, all im basicaly asking is whats it all obout and how can we sort it out? i am a hippy.

You can go to jail in muslim countries for not following their cultural beliefs, yet here, the slight mention of them not getting their own way and its racism this and infidel that. Having said that it's only a minority, and most of the whingers are getting paid for it by various pressure groups/institutions or just want 5 minutes on sky news to further their career. It definately seems like a British backlash against political correctness is brewing though, watch this space

Michael R, Muslims can and will make friends with non-believers.
Taken from the Noble Quran:
Basic Law Regulating Relations With Unbelievers (i.e. anyone who doesn't call themselves a Muslim, Christian or Jew.)
[60:8] GOD does not enjoin you from befriending those who do not fight you because of religion, and do not evict you from your homes. You may befriend them and be equitable towards them. GOD loves the equitable.
[60:9] GOD enjoins you only from befriending those who fight you because of religion, evict you from your homes, and band together with others to banish you. You shall not befriend them. Those who befriend them are the transgressors.

As for this Question, You are right to a degree, British Muslims are quite sensetive at the moment, but we are not attention seeking. We are sensative because we feel that Muslims are constantly being attacked in the media, by people of high profile and by people like you. It seems that nothing about us will ever make you happy, the only thing that some people will settle for is for us to completley strip ourselves of our identity, leaving little left. As I said, we are not attention seeking but we seem to be quite good at protesting, a fundamentle right that any British Citizen can make use of, including you.

You have to understand that, during times of conflict, there is a little thing in the media called propoganda. The media will focus on negative stories about a group or groups of people to make the public dislike them so that, in the event of outright war, the government will have the support of their country. Get over it.
Anyway, and speaking as a white person, I find that the white peopele are the ones who are too sensitive, and that is why or the anti-white quiestions and answers get removed from yahoo while the anti-everything else questions remain!

Since any religion claims to be "the Truth" there's no chance for tolerance from them or understanding with them, they'll never accept you as an equal because you're a non-believer or an infidel. This is applicable to muslims as well as to most of them "Truths". We should ban religions in Europe.

I agree, I am pagan. I was Catholic. It was shoved down my throat and believe me the Catholics are JUST AS single minded as the Muslims are. They need to get off their high horse as well. Also I am so sick and tired of all these Catholic priests getting away with molesting boys. What the **** is up with that??

I am a 'send um all home' person if they have so much trouble with the Western world. They are over sensitive, in that they can burn our flags & complain about how we are, yet there are so many here enjoying what we have...& complaining about it on the other hand. Send them home, I will pay what I can to help.

they are always the victims be it from their own people or others. the mp Enoch Powell was right about 30years ago. look him up on the Internet and read his speech! Yet again the nanny state and the goody goody brigade have had their way! get rid of the political correctness and be honest! yeah honest isn't always nice but its the truth!

I think you are spot on. Fair enough let them wear what they want but why is it every time someone 'steps' on thier toes there si a big hooha in the news. Its like we are already living in fear of the nutcases. I would just like to sit down with a few of the extremists and find out what thier game is and why they cant just F*ck of and leave me in peace
