Give him a little special somethin-somethin if you catch my drift... Pretty much every male of the human species appreciates a gift that isn't material in nature from someone he digs... I know my man likes his own birthday presents to be the "consume-on-the-spot" type!

Good question...listen carefully to what he talks about and what interests him and try to get something that fits with what he talks about and what interests him...example if he is into sports get him tickets to a game. If you know he has wanted to try something like a certain hobby and just never has had the chance get him something to help him start that new hobby.
