Actually marrying just for the sex happens a lot less than people would think. Most men and woman that are just wanting sex all the time usually will steer clear of the Marriage word. I am sure there are a few out there, but there are quite a few that marry because they really love this person and it will end in divorce. Marriage is a lot of work and if one person is not willing to work at it then it can often fail.

I have no idea where you would find statistics such as these. But do people really end up marrying just over sex..? Surely by that stage they would have an inkling of LOVE for the person they have become involved with.

I think the people who marry and have unstable sex lives, would soon find themselves divorced, cause you need a level of intimacy within a relationship to make it succeed and feel valued and loved also.

There are pleanty of reasons (dont know statistics) why sex based marriages cant last. Yes,sex s crucial, however,God forbid something occurs and one is unable to have sex or one becomes "unsexy" in the eyes of their partner, one develops sexual interests (or loses interests) that the other is not in agreement with. By the same token, marriage based on love cant work without a satisfying sex life which love cant guarentee. You should marry because your friends, great lovers, share common ground on the important issues and realize there is no "I" in love.

Well it depends, but for me divorce only occurs in marriage if love is not already present in the couple. Sex with love is really good than lust only. So I think that depends on the couple. Or its just a matter of bringing up the relationship to a higher and deep level for you to survive in marriage.

Don't know the statistics, but "lust" is a fire soon burnt out. Love is an emotional response based on values, morals, and common principles. It doesn't happen "at first sight." That's a physical pang known as lust. Love, true love....lasts a lifetime and grows stronger. It also enhances mutual physical attraction and makes the art of lovemaking more meaningful for both parties.

Sometimes it's really confusing sometimes. See when you get married for the sex you always going to run into problems because guys aren't on the same levels. (you know what I mean) Now when people get married with love they still do get into arguments but they end up resolving it beings if it's true love.

Yes they do, simply because it's not love they're marrying for. They're not gonna b with that person forever because the sex is great. Sex isn't that powerful....Well, it may be mind altering for a while to make you believe that but in the end, one will realize that they're not in love with that person but with that persons performance and realize that they made a mistake. It's very common. thank u come again.

Now this is exactly why marriage failures are rampaging in America -because people are so selfish and are willing to risk anything - even sex - just to get the 'sneaky' taste. As for those who marry just for the hell of if - may God have mercy on your souls!

I think you mean, marry because they are lusting for each other. that can be mistaken as feeling for one another, but when its all said and done a marriage based on that either ends in divorce or one or the other committing adultery.

Marry for sex is lust and probably won't work. Marry for Love will last.
