wouldnt say thats ignorant u raised quite an interesting point but when has anything theyve done made any sence i think theyed rather worry about that when it happened kind of cross that bridge when you come to it sort of attitude.lol what he said above wouldnt even make in the paper or if it did it would be in a little paragraph, yes its wrong what someone did tearing a veil off someone but its not exactly big news is it.

I don`t think it`s a stupid question at all as u are right. The general public would find it hard to assist if a muslim woman is wearing a veil. But I don`t think that they should be banned from wearing them as I fully agree with babeddie`s answer

Good point, This is a serious issue since a reporter from the SUN went through customs control and didn't need to show her face. What the hell is that about. She did in France but not when she went through UK customs.
The point you make is a good one but turn it the other way round, supposing an attacker was wearing a veil.
Can you imagine the effect if I walked into a bank or airport wearing a balaclava?

many people say that its taking a women's identify away from her. however Muslims would say that it is liberating. who are we to decide whether or not they should wear a veil? yes i understand your point, but at the end of the day its up to them as they know the potential risks.

I wish people would give it a rest! There was that story of a muslim women who had her veil torn off by a Christian or something. Imagine if a Muslim tore off a Christian's crucifix, there'd be uproar! And it amounts to the same thing!
ps. nice one, Spiko! :)

A computer database can sort by the eyes and there placement. However, under the circumstance you describe a picture of her face is OK.

A very good point.
If the "lady" being abducted was also wearing sunglasses, the chances of her being recognised must be nil.
