It doesn't matter if it's right just knowing that you don't have control over your heart. It's when it starts to consume you and affect your daily routine that it becomes a problem.
I'm pretty sure we all at some point have still loved someone but never pursued it.

I feel you on this one girl, i am in this exact position, yes it is ultimately right to love someone you never will have. It is more painful when you see the person you love so much with someone else and you wished so bad that it was you and you wondering what she got that you dont, i have been through it all. Try to confront that person, tell him how you feel about him, if it doesnt work out at least you will be grateful that you got it off your chest and take to the lord to help you get over it. but if it work out somehow, i wish you all the happiness.

Only you know what love means to you, it's notoriously difficult to define it !!
Have you decided you will never have that person or have you just given up ?
If you have given up, surely there is something else you can do ?
Have you really put 100% commitment into having this person ?
Have you risked failing, looking bad, looking stupid, looking ignorant, humiliation, pain to get this person in your life ?
Surely there is something more you could do !!??!
Unless this person is a dream or genuinely not available. Move on quickly don't dwell.
If you have put 100% and its still not reciprocated then you can move on with no regrets.
Owww and I know someone who always chooses people he can't get, and then worse still he plays small, keeps him in a safety zone. His life is nice and safe and yes he has little experiences and joy in his life. Take the risks and be fully out there !!

I don't think its a matter of right or wrong. Its how much it hurts to love someone you will never have, if you can happily go about your daily life without it effecting you, then fine. But if that love prevents you from opening up to others you can have, then its a problem, and becomes unhealthy.

Its neither right nor wrong but it does ones self no good, knowing that you love someone and want more than anything to share your life with that person but circmstance says you can never, its best not to think of what could be but try to forget them and move on.

It`s not wrong to love them, but if you can`t have that person, the only one to be hurt will be you,so look for someone who will love you back, you deserve better than a second hand person.

Whether it's right or not is I guess a moral question and I only know how I personally feel, it is right for me. But I also know that nothing will ever come of it. I am taken and so is he :-(

It's OK to love a person you however, you would need self-discipline and control not to act on that feeling. And love them as a friend, family-like love (brotherly love) that way you wont get caught up in that in-love mode.
