No. Once you are employed, the dealership must pay you minimum wage. That is why you have to clock in.

Most dealerships offer a draw program where you are paid either your commisions or your draw check. The draw check is usually a set amount based off of 40 hours. If you don't outsell the draw, you go into "debt" with the dealership until your commisions bail you out.

When you file for unemployment, you are elligible to recieve it until you hit a certain income level. And even then, you can get some. I'll tell you my situation: I was getting $309 a week from unemployment, then I found myself a job making about $250 a week. I could make up to $165 dollars in a week and still recieve my full $309 from unemployment. If I made more than $165 in a week, what ever I made over that would be taken out of the $309, so if I made $200 in a week, which is $35 above the $165, I would get $35 taken out of my unemployment check, which would be $284.

Case, your benefits will reflect what you make starting when you report your earnings, not necesarrily when you recieve your check. If you start to work and make above what you are eligble for, unemployment will stop even if you haven't actually recieved the money for the earnings you reported.

I hope you find this helpful.
