Not unless you are applying for a job as a graphic artist or a kindergarten teacher! Resumes are supposed to be 100% business-like and professional, with some creative exceptions. If you are not sure whether your field constitutes a creative exception, err on the side of caution.

Oh I don't know. What kind of picture is it? Is it really graphic with alot of colors? If so I would not as it would be just way to "busy" and take the attention away from your text. Now it if was something really subtle that you can barely see that is different. I sent in a resume once with a very light subtle picture of a country road with trees around it. It looked serene. Guess what, I got the job because they liked the creativity and the serenity, they said it showed my inner most character. This was a job for a food service manager. So, it could actually go both ways, depending on the background of your paper.

You could, but it might look a little bit sloppy. Save it to a disk, and then go to like Kinkos or something, and have it get it printed off for you! Or just save your work, run to Target, and get some computer paper!

People are often impressed when you buy those sheet covers. They're clear, and they protect your papers. And then get a really cheap folder to put it all in. People are very impressed at how much you care to be look well.

Trust me, it does you good. And earns you extra points.

that would be considered weird. in fact, you shouldn't even send out resumes on regular paper. go to officemax or staples and buy resume paper. it comes it whites, creams, greys etc and you can put it in your laser or inkjet printer. it looks much more professional
