They might try to manually turn the baby. This does hurt, I won't lie. A doctor a one or two nurses will place their hands on your stomach and try to turn the baby. This is sometimes successful. If the baby doesn't turn, they will schedule you for a c section.

They can try and turn her and it does hurt somewhat and it can set off labour sometimes.

It depends on how set you are on a vaginal birth as they don't tend to deliver vaginally breach babies, instead doing cesareans. If you really want a vaginal birth go for the turning, know what it might cause and if you're only 3 weeks away baby is classed as term anyway so personally I'd go for it! That's just me of course. The decision is up to you!

My little boy was due on 7th August and he was breach, but two days later on 9th August, he had turned and engaged all in one fell swoop, he arrived by a vaginal birth safe and sound that night, so don't worry, there are other alternatives as well as turning, but she may well do it all on her own, good luck with everything and most of all enjoy being a mum, it is fantastic.xx

It is still not too late for her to turn by herself. Try getting into some positions to help her turn. A good one is on your knees and elbows so you bum is higher than your shoulders. Also don't sit back in a soft chair but upright and don't cross your legs. Apparently we have more babies now breach than years a go because we spend too much time sitting on comfy chairs that women did 60 odd years ago when they used to be on their hands and knees scrubbing floors!

It can be extremely uncomfortable but I think it is worth giving it a try. It's got to be better than having to recover from a cesarian while havint to look after a new baby.
PS My freinds baby didn't turn until she was 4 days away from giving birth. So there's hope yet!

I have heard that people have gone to a chiropractor and had great result with turning a breech baby. Has something to do with the pelvis being out of alignment.
