When do you give an ultimatum?

I am in a 5 year committed relationship. I am extremely happy with my boyfriend. We often talk about the future and most of our conversations are in future tent. What bothers me is when I start to ask about getting married he will talk about it but never says anything concrete. I am not ready at this moment but I would like to have some sort of idea. Am I in a relationship that is going to stay this way forever. How do you tell? What do you do about it if you feel things will not change? Any advice - guys and girls.

My now husband said he wasn't into the marriage thing when we got together. I accepted that and we just got closer and closer over 8 years. Then,out of the blue he proposed!! Now married 4 years......so, there's always hope. But just ask him honestly, tell him how you feel and tell him your interested in how he feels. And it doesn't have to be the same feelings as each other.....that may come with time.

I think your man isn't financially ready. He maybe certain that you're the one he'll marry but some men just can't tell when exactly they want it to happen....If your relationship is going smoothly, don't jeopardize things by cornering him to come up with a date.... One day soon, he'll pop the question. Save some room for surprise, life gets better that way.

well you should first find out if he really wants marriage then you can just get engaged first for a while see how it works some guys will talk about it but wont really commit the marriage thing really scares them but as long as the relationship is really good dont put his back too the wall if he really loves you yall will be alright(smile) good luck

First you need to figure out what you are expecting and once you have that figured tell him this is what you expect and see how he reacts.
