Our lease is up next month and we have to give written notice that we are leaving. Does it have to say anything other then we are not going to be signing a new lease?

Pursuant to our lease, the termination date is_______ and this will serve as our _______ day notice that we will be vacating the premises.

It just should state that you are moving as of the end of the lease. Make sure that you send it to the landlord at least 30 days prior to the end of the lease, or whatever other notice period is in your lease.

I would specify when your lease ends and that you will not be beginning a new lease at the end of your current lease.
