I believe it is sad that people (for the most part) no longer listen to their inner child. Are you one of the people that grew out of your inner child or do you still cherish him/her now as much as ever?

At times, I feel like my inner child was tortured, mutilated, and murdered. However, I do believe my inner child lives through my humor (or lack there of).
I love listening to my inner child because he makes me laugh. He really does. He brings the sunshine when I'm feeling dark, brings a little smile to my lips when a frown seems to overpower me, and brings happy, funny thoughts if I'm feeling to serious.
My inner child also prevents me from being too angry at people and I love him for that.
Yeah, I know. I'm a girl but I consider my inner child to be a boy.
When I laugh really hard and cry from laughing and my stomach hurts, I can feel feel my inner child shining through me, or hear is sweet laugh in the back of my mind.
It's wonderful. He's wonderful.

Oh my goodness! Of course I still listen to my inner child, we still play together. When I lose that, I'd have to say I've gotten OLD, and that will never happen. My body may age, and I can be mature, but I'll never stop feeling young at heart!

Sadly, my inner child grew up when I was 11 yrs old and molested by my uncle. His cruel acts killed the inner child in me, made me grow up over night. He took my innocence, my childhood laughter, and my inner child away all in a moment of selfishness.

I wouldn't say its my inner"child" because trust me it's more mature than i am.Yes i do listen because it always helps me and gives me good advice when in trouble or whatever the reason might be.Though i would call it more like my"inner dialouge"
