Don't say the war, everyone is looking at that. I want to know some specific issues that you are looking at. Try not to just say, education, for example. What about education. Or illegal immigration, what about it are you looking at. Be specific....Thank you.

Absolutly illegal immigration. For all the obvious reasons as well as national security. I want someone who is going to show me they can and will enforce our existing laws. Also someone who is going to possibly freeze new immigration till we have a chance to fix this nightmare situation and get caught up with all the back-log of those who have abided by the law and are still patiently waiting.

Secondly a crackdown on businesses with their "cheap labor" and hiring illegals and insourcing and outsourcing for the purpose of "cheap Labor" at the expense of American Citizens.

There is such vast corruption in government and business and out of control spending etc. that I want to see some heads start rolling. Enough is enough.

I want someone with enough gumption to make public the plans of the NAFTA super-highway and the hidden agenda of the North American Union. It's happening and deals are being made and it's time the American people know what this agenda is and have their voices heard. I could give a crap on how it benefits the wealthy.....I want to see where it takes me.

A living wage. Kids shouldn't be having to live at home in their 20's because they work full time and can't make enough money to afford a simple apartment. I know it depends on what area of the country you live in, but it's darned insane when basic rent's are getting close to 1000.00 a month, first last and security. When basic utilitys equals your rent. There needs to be a reality check. When it takes 2 full time wage earners to get by there's a problem. When 1 illness or 1 job loss can plummet you to homelessness.....there's a problem. When an elderly person can't afford basic medication without choosing between eating and heat, there's a problem. It doesn't cost that much when the CEO's are making billions in profits and bonuses.

In the congressional (House) election I am looking to send a message that protecting one's job is not as important as protecting a child. The Foley mess is the last straw - we have let them take Abramoff's money, build bridges to nowhere, pass legislation that would protect all employees EXCEPT theirs, and I have had enough. The constitution specifically empowered the people to replace the House every 2 years - it is the only action that will be loud enough to be heard.

Create A New Congress - vote against the incumbent.

Will a rookie Congress be less effective? If it's that or business as usual, then I hope so. Will this punish good and responsible House members? Maybe, but leaving them there means that they have the seniority and the power. I firmly believe that the failure is not of one or another party, it is institutional, and it must stop.

CAN CONGRESS

I know you said don't say the war, but my first and foremost issue is terrorism and/or the war. I will only vote for candidates who will take a tough stance to continue the fight against it and all related issues such as the Patriot Act, the interrogation of terror suspects, support finishing the job in Iraq. If the terrorists are over here killing us, nothing else will matter.

My second issue is illegal immigration. I'm tired of the burden that illegals are placing on our system. I'll be looking for candidates who support penalizing businesses and landlords who hire and house illegals. I would like to see English made our official language. I'm sick and tired of illegals demanding their rights at the expense of American taxpayers.

Haha, although you said no war, i can imagine most answers referring to it on some level.

Personally i would vote for someone who would look at resolving the issue of terrosism, finding the causes of terrorism and dealing with them, not just simply trying to fight it away. A more intellectual approach needs to be taken, that way everyone will be better off.

The environment is a big thing in my mind, i'd vote for osmoen who was comitted to reducing harmful subtances in the air and promiting recycling, not just to the public, but by enforcing the big companies (i.e food packaging etc) to be more sensible with what the use/sell.
