I have a 97' 740i. My gas milage isn't so bad when I take it easy. That is a heavy car, make sure the air pressure in your tires is right. Get a tune up, clean air filter, oil, etc.... But the best thing you can do is just try and stay off the gas.

yes, there is. Tune the computer chip in the car. Now it can get pricey but will help a lot. Just tuning the brains of your car can help out with the gas mileage. (You can go to any parts store and buy the computer system to tune the computer chip in your car from anywhere between $50 to $250)

the money you spend will never be paid off... try driveng nice and tune the car, fill the tires to correct pressure.... trade it in a get a yugo or scion

You don't sat what your fuel consumption is! If it is less than 6kms to the litre, then seek help, but at about 6kms to the litre is about the best you will get!

about all that can be done affordably is proper maintenance,check tire pressure monthly,and adjust pressure slightly higher,most important is driving slower
