because every time i watch soccer the commentaters are always saying he's not that good,and Alex Ferguson said he's the best defender on Man.Utd. but he's not.

Every English footballer is overrated. Mostly by the media. The ones that are really good are run down by the same media. In fact their football is run by the media. If the media suggests that one footballer playing somewhere is good, the manager invites him otherwise the media will harrangue the poor manager, he has to give in. If Ferguson says Wes Brown is good, then he must be bad. The players he has rated as bad - Beckan, Van Nistelroy, etc are kings elsewhere. Don't depend on Ferguson's rating.

Yes especially since he makes crucial mistakes that end up costing Man U the game.

I think he's perhaps going through a bad form spell. A few years ago the papers tended to publish articles which rated him very highly.
