I had my first baby at 16. I'm 39 now and have had 5 kids. Babies are hard work at any age, but very rewarding!!

I had my daughter a month after I turned 17. At the time I thought I was lucky because her dad was still around. This turned out not to be such a good thing in the longer term.....
In hind sight, I wish I had stayed at home with my parents, let them support me more than they did, and gone back to school... I was just far too eager to leave home...

Having kids at a young age and bringing them up alone is hard but not impossible and to be fair, I had a very supportive family.
I am often complemented on my daughters manners and behaviour and am proud of her. Despite having her so young, I wouldn't change her for the world.
And the best thing of all is that now she is 13, we are pretty much best friends and tell each other everything. We are making plans to travel the world for a year together when she is 18 and I am 35.
I wouldn't be able to enjoy this bond so much if I were an older parent.

Good luck and I really hope your family is as supportive as mine were and still are.

I had my son at 20. I was married and my husband has a very good job. I'm still finishing college right now. My son will be a year old next week and I've loved every minute of this first year. For the most part, it wasn't hard...although instead of going out on a Friday night (like most of my friends do) we end up having to stay in, or have a different type of "going out" such as dinner and a movie. Luckily we have another couple (not married) that are wonderful friends and we usually hang out with them.

Anyways, My point it...it might be hard, but it's all SOO worth it!

I don't have kids but my mom had me when she was 19 . She was really selfish. She would make sure she had clothes but I would walk around for like 3yrs and no new clothes. She would go on trips to the bahamas and then get upset because she had no money. I am 30 now and I am glad I did not have children young. I will start in another year or so. I have known lots of girls from high school who had children very young and they consider children a burden not a blessing. I can't wait to have kids now. But when I was younger would not have been able to handle it. You might be different though I also knew girls who had children young and actually turned out to be great parents. It depends on the individual and their outlook on life and family. Hope this helps. Good Luck.

I had my first baby when I was 20. I know this isn't very young but I was personally very immature. I was a rubbish mum and had no patience and couldn't wait to palm him off onto the baby sitter! My son was very unhappy. (He's ok now though!)
I have recently had my second child at 38. I am more mature, more relaxed and happier to be at home and just spend time with my daughter. My daughter is very happy.

I had my children at 18-24-32-34. I found it a task at all ages. Some days were better than others. Raising and caring for a child is a job (full time). I do not know that it was easier at anytime. However, that all i grew, my maturity level grew and my ideas changed. I hope this answered your question. God bless

I had my first boy when i was 15 and my second boy when i was 18. Yes it is hard work, but i think it would be hard work for anybody of any age. They are definately worth all the hard work though.

I had my first son at the age of 17, I don't thin it was hard work, I had a lot of support from my mom.

And before having my son I worked in a daycare for 2 years, and babysat for my mom, and step mom.
