The Amish don't mix with outsiders, so there's no way an Amish could be famous in our world. They keep to themselves.

Actually, that is part of what makes them what they are--they are not trying to be famous. They want to preserve a humble, old way of living. There may have been some but they had to stop being Amish before they decided to become popular.

The dudes in Weird Al's "Amish Paradise" video are famous. Unfortunately, the dead schoolkids are also famous now...poor things.

Wow! I am too. Have you seen KINGPIN. I don't know if those were actors or real people; playing the part. Those are the only famous or would be famuos amish people I know.

They choose to set themselves apart from the outside world so there may be someone is is well known to them and not to us. Like they may no idea who Michael Jackson is.
