For her 18th birthday.. a necklace or nice pair of ear rings. Some form of jewelry and some Roses! Do you know if she collects anything? Ask around and find out what she really likes..that is if you don't already know. But I'd go with jewelry and flowers.

A cute little puppy in a box with a tiffany's necklace around the neck..Tiffany's has toggle necklaces and drop hearts that are not expensive at all..U can even find them on ebay for a great price! I would love that!

I like to get girls that age silver jewelry. I prefer it to gold myself. Here, in my city, we have a store called "Stage," and this store has nice pieces at excellent prices. A really long box chain with a simple heart or cross is very dressy, can still be worn to dress up a T and jeans, and can be worn with her other favorite necklaces.

a charm bracelet - with number 18 on it - she or you can add charms through out her next years - you may even want to add an extra one that symbolizes something special between the two of you.
if you want to spend a lil more, maybe a blackberry ( i have no idea what it is but everyone talks about them), mp3 player? a weekend trip to florida for two ( her and a friend ) good luck -

Like you should give her like a ring for her birthday at Gordon's Jewelry store they only cost like about $400 a ring it's nothing fancy it just has little diamonds in the inside of it .
