My husbands niece is 14 years old and I don't know what to get her for Christmas. She's not into clothes or fashion; it's hard to shop for that anyways because she's a bigger girl. She likes movies and music, but that's what we always seem to get her. She has a cell phone, iPod, and digital camera. More than me!
Any suggestions?

14 is a hard age and if she's not slim & trim that makes it even harder. My bet is that she would love to be "into" hair and makeup and clothes but she feels insecure because of her size.

Maybe she would like a mini makeover...where they cut her hair and style it and show her how to apply makeup? Most places like that also sell the makeup.

Or ask her to go on Amazon.com and make a wishlist that anyone can buy from. That is fun to do and makes it easy for you and anyone else shopping for her.

It was a mistake in judgment to drink too much in the first place, but I guess my question is, what was the boss's 14-year-old doing at a party where alcohol was being served? Was the party being held at his house? That would be the only excuse. But when it comes to sexual things, 14-year-olds are not expected to know and do the right thing; you as an adult are supposed to know and have control over your actions.

It sounds like she is into Electornics, so here is what i would do based on what you said. Cell phone Acessories (like cover or face changes, a blinking anntena etc.), iPod- diffrent covers, downloads. For a digitial camera, try a graphics card, cases for the camera and equipment, and try to see what she already has, and build from there.

Buy her a genreal gift card from a local mall. This way it can be used in any of the stores there in the mall and this way you don;t have to take the risk of getting her something that she won't like or doesn't need.

Good luck

Can we say CASH? I have 3 neices and 4 nephews. CASH CASH CASH it doesn;t stop them from buying where they want to buy. It has no time limit and Jessica saves half of all monies she recives. I like the CASH idea a lot..

Maybe a cell phone cover, CDs, or you could ask her for ideas. There's ALWAYS something us teens want. xD

Like for my 11th birthday my mom asked what I wanted and I said "Cody (a guy I liked) to jump out of my cake naked." LMAO. I was just kidding. then my moms like "-gasp- CAITLIN!!!" -laughs-"

It was hilarious.

the best thing you can give her is a gift card to one of her favorite stoors.it lets her know that you care enough to go up to the store and put money on it rather than just giving her money.

You could get her an iTunes gift card, so she can buy music for her iPod.
