It shouldnt be in the "olympic" olympics.
But why not start a separate body for gamers around the world? The Gamerlympics or sumthing. If it can be organised at such a scale it would be awesome.
And also have category for "ancient" games. Bringing back vintage gives us a greater appreciation for the evolution of games, and how they came about :)

Although I do believe gaming should be more recognized than it is, I don't think it should be an olympic sport. One could argue for the dexterity required to work a controller with expertise, but then one could argue that piano playing or yo-yo-ing could also be an olympic sport.

And why do they have steeplechase in the olympics? The horse does all the work, but does the horse get the medal?

i dont think so because you sit in a chair and it isnt like running or playing soccer or baseball you dont move in gaming unless u cheer for your self or move ur hands to control ur person
