crafty i had this issues too as quickly as I downloaded the recent yahoo messenger in simple terms turn off your firewall reinstall the recent yahoo messenger whilst its executed downloading verify in to your messenger and then turn your firewall lower back on it in basic terms must be off the 1st time you verify in to the recent "more suitable" yahoo. For some reason some firewalls do not consider some greater cutting-edge courses first time wish this helps you out
