Im thinking of buying the new Ipod Nano and have a Compaq Presario 6000 computer. Does any one know if this computer has the new USB2 port or the old type USB. If so will the Nano that has the USB2 work in the old USB type port

the ipod will work with any usb... if your pc is only usb 1.1, it will be slower transferring music, that being the only minor pitfall....

I've got a nano and it worked in both types. I only know coz I had an old E machines PC at first and used that. When that gave up on me I bought a new laptop with USB2 port and it works fine on there also.

it will work fine on both, will be a bit slower on the usb 1 to the usb2 , to be honest i didnt notice much of a difference.

it will work in both ports, USB 1.0 will be pretty slow copying large amounts of files over though.
