Everyone has meanings, without them you would not be here. How do you compromise with them, deal with them, negotiate them? How do you carry the meanings of your life so as to make them worthwhile?

Whatever meaning you find, let it be YOUR meaning and not someone else's. When you internalize and objectify yourself based on what others think of you, you are lost. This does not mean that you should ignore everyone; just don't let them define your self-worth. And, like London_lady says, "accept them." Good advice! Oh yes, and don't overanalyze them! They'll squitter away if you do that! And if you try to put them in a cage, they'll find a chink and get out...etc. etc. , all those lovely metaphors that delight and frustrate the philosopher.

As for making life worthwhile, my own strategy is to keep learning new things and trying new things. Don't become stagnant and don't accept that everything is unchangeable or beyond your ability to influence. Cheers!

I don't yet comprehend the full meaning of my life.. So I don't bear it yet either... I mostly spend my time looking for it and enjoying myself.

However, when I do have the full understanding of the meanings of my life,,,

I won't need to bear the meanings of my life in order to make them worthwhile..... I will bear them because they are worthwhile.

Interesting topic and so many answers can prove to be right! Confused? Sure, we all should be as it's a big question that can have these multiple answers. It comes down to having peace in your heart about who you are, or in other words, learn to love yourself first and then you can love others more effectively.

Rest in your assurance that we are all on the path through this journey we call life!

life is worth living for so many reasons. to make as many people on earth as happy as u can. to live and love so we can c wat is after this life. nothing on this life can even compare 2 the beauty and love that we will expirience in heaven. LIVE TO LAUGH. LIVE TO LOVE. "do not invite death. but do not fear death. live life. love life. but do not fear losing it."- me!! the above quote is something i try 2 live by. u, obviously, do not fear death. but b careful not 2 invite it either. and, do u honestly thing our motivations would evaporate???? so lets say u believed that there was no life after our initial death. this would be my theory 4 that person: why not live? why not laugh? why not love? if u dont believe in an afterlife, u might as well live on earth. u might as well expirience as much happiness as u can b4 u die. and by happiness, i dont mean happy hour at the nearest bar, or movies or candy or watever u think makes u happy. nothing on earth compares to the happiness u feel after loving another human being. whether that is a romantic love, the love of others less fortunate then u, the love of a little infant, etc. life wouldnt lose its meaning, ever. there are still always ppl around us. people 2 love. ppl 2 laugh with.

My life is very precious,
1) I try my best to please God by following his teachings, and the teachings of his Messenger to us,
2) I work hard to make my life and the lives of those who depend on me (wife, and kids) as good as possible,
3) I work hard also to make my relation with others as good as I can,
4) I do my best to work for the whole community, and increase the knowledge of humanity by working hard in my field (Chemistry) by doing research, and teaching my students the best way I know,
5) I increase my knowledge by reading and looking around in this wonderful universe, and enjoy my being a life

your question is the final question of obtaining all knowledges.
when mankind has known all and there is nothing to know more, he will still ponder this question.

I personally have come to believe that we are here to propagate our survival and for that we have intelligence gathering senses. The funny thing is that as we use our intelligence gathering senses to propagate our survival, we also like to please these senses simultaneously. Such is the beauty of life.

But why propagate? Well if you do not survive what is the point of living anyway? Gotcha !!!

I'm waiting for my sister to turn 18, so I can take care of her.
My parents are kind, but lazy.

She needs my help. I feel that making a difference in her life, will add some meaning to mine.

Start doing what you here for. Follow your heart. Trust your 1st instinct. It may not always be easy but every trial you go thru you grow stronger, the plan you have to follow wont be that difficult-if you hsve a driver called Jesus.
