Yes if you use common sence, there are lots of virus out there, but they are all way too obvious.

If you are searching for music or a movie just avoid the files below 1MB since they are fakes or virus, and never ever run an application.

If you really want to feel safe, just make sure you have a decent anti-virus software, that should block any possible threats.

The application itself has no spyware or alike.

I`ve had Limewire for over a year and never had a problem at all. It has a virus protection that tells you if your downloading something that`s no good!! I bought the lifetime membership and have had no problems.

Its safe enough. Just be careful what you actually download. It can only be as safe as the person using it. Try to scan any files you download before you open them with a Virus Scanner.

You can be sued by the RIAA for copyright infringement. But from what I've read, you're under the radar if you downloaded less than 300 songs. Also, you can disable your file sharing to make detection more improbable.

i am using lime wire from 3 year never a problem. use your common sense whle downloading and never download exe file thats it and if u r using antivirus it also helps... so enjoy the lime wire its the best thing on net
