it depends on the time of week and year to the rate costs. In January The Dorchester have room rates of £189.00 plus vat for the room which is amazingly cheap for this 5 star hotel.
i work for a travel company and we use lots of hotels in London.
The Cumberland hotel is nice, any Radisson hotel (they're a different standard to the american Radissons), Marriott Park Lanr and Marriott Marble Arch are good locations. there aren't any hotels with pools. The one i can think of is Grange Holborn which is a 4-5 star.

The Russell hotel at Russell Hotel is stylish and comfortable but it doesn't have a pool although there's a hotel around the corner which I think currently a holiday inn that has one.
There's a characterless hotel just down the road in southampton row called The National which does have a pool and is surpisingly inexpensive especially at the weekend if you get a let's go weekend. Attached to that hotel, and owned by the same grioup is the Tavistock hotel which is even better value than the National and you can pay to use their pool.

When I visit London I always look at the Holiday Inn website. I usually get some pretty good deals when I'm traveling through Europe, www.priorityclub.com. Some of the hotels have pools others don't but you can beat some of the rates. Good Luck and have a great time.

I went in December and stayed at a B&B (Elmwood lodge) there are lots around, we payed £250 for 4 nights so it quite is approximately £50 consistent with night, there have been greater much low-priced ones around yet we had £260 lower back from the gas organization so had to handle ourselves! The room become undemanding yet respectable finding and clean, double mattress and a single interior the corner, television, tea and coffees, small bathe room, breakfast secure. It become in simple terms over the line from kings bypass station besides which become super for buying around and additionally strolling distance to Tottenham court docket highway and Oxford highway (quite an prolonged walk nevertheless). there is a lot to do around that area, bars, eating places, Picadilly Circus is stable for the comedy keep (we paid £17 i think of consistent with value ticket) and nightlife even though it quite is all slightly high priced, besides the reality that interior the day there is greater to do for much less high priced, as an occasion front to the nationwide museum is unfastened and you will spend hours in there as there is plenty to work out. We went to work out we are able to Rock You on the dominion Theatre on Tottenham court docket highway that's outstanding in case you have not seen it.

There are a couple of online agents and brokers you could use
http://www.hotels.co.uk/ and http://www.hotelclub.com/. You may also want to visit http://www.visitlondon.co.uk/ as they seem be geared towards London tourists. I have also used Smooth Hounds internet directory http://www.smoothhound.co.uk/ for guesthouses around the UK.
