Me and my bf have been together just over 9 months, but we're suddenly havning to live 400 miles apart until next september. We're both pretty skint (i'm a student and hes just graduated) so our visits are minimal. I've thought of a couple of nice things I can do for him, but I was wondering if you guys had any good ideas that I might not have thought of? please help I really love him and i want this to last.

I've been in a long-distance relationship for just over 3 years now and we've been together a total of 5 1/2. It will last if you are committed and in love, and communicate well. Some things I like to do for him...I write him hand-writting letters and cards, and put a tea bag in the envelope so he can drink the tea thinking of me. I'm a visual artist so I have drawn pictures of us together, and even a small picture of me that I put in a series of picture frames with real photographs. I make paint pottery for him...I've made a little box and put a lock of my hair in it. I've designed a tile with a joke about engineering on it (he's an engineer) and had it made at cafepress.com. Um...stuff like that! I'll take pictures just for him, like me blowing a kiss or...other things, hehe :) Anyway maybe that will give you some creative ideas.

Well you obviously have the use of a pc and hopefully he has too so why not get a couple of webcams and then you can sit and talk to each other as if you were face to face. On the saucier side of things you could, well do what you wanted over the net as it would just be you and him. Get the picture?

Hi. I was in the exact same position once. We were very much in love, so I sent him 101 things I loved about him. It was really fun to compile. I would send him letters rather than than just e-mails for a more personal touch. I would call him before he went to work to tell him I loved him, and I sent him flowers with a poem I had written.
He loved it.
Also, you could turn up on a weekend when he isn't expecting it.

You could text him the lyrics from 1000 miles- vanessa carlton cos that's about long distance relationships: you know i'd walk a thousand miles if i could just see you tonight' sorry pretty random lol but it's the first thing i thought of

Im in the same position as you coz my gf goes uni miles away n we hardly see eachother.....Good things to send are CD's with your fav love songs.....send him loadza letters and spray them with your perfume to remind him of your smell...My gf does that and I like it....You could make a collage of photos of you both.....make loadza puzzles to do with your relationship.

Get the number to his local radio station, send a message and/or dedicate a song. Send him a letter. Send him a cd you specially made with all your tracks on it. Send anything stupid and little in the post everyday. it will make him smile when he opens it.

Get one of those sloppy cards that say nice things so hes knows your thinking of him they only cost about £1.50 plus a stamp.

i did this once to my boyfriend
take photos of yourself in stages,
one where you are in a sexy outfit
then with your shoes and stockings off
then with your top half way off
then with it off
and so on.....
buy a book of stamps, and send one picture to him every day for a week, by the end of the week he will be gagging for you and maybe surprise you with a visit
thats what mine did
