The short answer to you question is probably no, A1GP can't match F1 in popularity.
The A1GP concept is interesting, however, I'm not so sure it has staying power. True, there were a lot of costs involved in starting a new series, but the losses for last year's inaugural season were massive and there are already rumours about founder, Sheikh Maktoum Hasher Maktoum Al Maktoum of Dubai assuming a lesser role.
The people making money from the series would appear to be the British Formula Three outfits who `run' the various A1GP teams during their off-season.

No think A1 is no match to F1. F1 has got the agility and lot of spice to attract race enthusiastic. A1 is a boring 450bhp racing. Usually the attendance is 1/4 of what we have in F1 race.
A1 still has a long way to go to reach such a height. You see F1 is not a matter of 1 year or 10 year, it is there form decades, its most cultured, technically advanced, sophisticated and purest type of real racing what we see. So F1 will remain the most popular than A1.

That is a good question, I think it can but in ten years or more from now, A1 is very young but the concept is very smart!!! Every sport has international and club( in this case constructor) competitions, so when some countries will dominate A1 and we will have legends like Senna, Hill, Shumi,.... representing their countries, then even the people that don't watch F1 so much will watch and support their country!!!! The problem is that a lot of poor countries can't finance a formula team !!!

I watched a couple of A1GP races last year, and people might say I'm crazy, but I thought there were too many overtaking!! I mean, everyone drives the same car, same tyres, obligatory pitstops, they have the boost button you can press, I just think it's too chaotic and lacking the orderliness of F1. People complain about F1's lack of overtaking (on the track), but I find the strategic aspect of F1 highly stimluating.
In A1GP, there doesn't seem to be any dominant team (except for France last year). There is no hierarchy like in F1. Maybe that's what people want and like. But it's not my cup of tea to tell the truth.

Doubt it! I'm a huge fan of F1 and I've tried so hard to get into the A1 GP last year because I'm a fan of Nelson Piquet Jr but I just couldn't.

Maybe. At least there's some racing in A1, it's not a parade.

I don't think it can...it is getting better but it seems to be too much about flag-waving.
It could've been worse though....
Drivers....For the pride of your RELIGION.......Start your engines!!
