Just stop. When you find yourself in a situation that would normally turn you into instant drama queen, think every positive thought you can possibly think of and drop the dramatic act. If you have the choice to be happy, why would you bring all that negativity, anxiety, and unecessary emotions into your life? My mother is a drama queen and she is absolutely the most miserable person I know. Everything is not the end of the world... in reality, everything happens for a reason, and when you realize this, you can move on from thinking bad thoughts to happy, positive things that will help you grow into a much more beautiful person than you ever imagined being. It's such a serene feeling taking one day at a time with NO WORRIES. Good luck!

Ask yourself "What is the sane way to react to this problem" If you think you're going to blow up, then walk away an be alone for 10 minutes to collect your thoughts. Then say what you feel and not what you want to do!

Pause before you react. Don't call undue attention to yourself. Don't cry at the drop of a hat.

when you hear something, pause for 5 seconds before you start saying anything.

it may not be a good idea to react too fast (in some circumstances).
