I said that my brother could play my psp, but I told him NOT to update. When he was done I went to start up psp media player. But it said data corrupted. I checked my system software version. It said 2.81, are there any free games and applications that work with 2.81, or perhaps a 2.81 downgrader?

First, I would like to say that I know EVERYTHING that is going on in the PSP hacking scene. Sorry, but there is NO way to use applications or play free games on a firmware 2.81 PSP. You can play a few simple games on 2.80, but you have 2.81, so you can't use them. Also, there is NO 2.81 downgrader yet. Don't ever let your brother play with your PSP again. Just wait for a downgrader to come out. Also, you can go to this site for more information:

i think u should'nt bother with free psp games. most of them come with viruses and will corrupt your psp. go 2 ebay and get some cheap real games.
