Baseball is my favorite sport because it's strategic and demands a high level of talent and diversity on behalf of the players, and they play as a team, without undue boasting and hype. You may have to sit back and relax through an inning here and an inning there, but when something happens, like a double-play or a 2-run homer, or a ninth inning comeback, man is it exciting! My favorite baseball game hasn't been played yet, but it's right around the corner: Game Five of the World Series, where the Tigers win the Series!!!

I like baseball because during the course of a season many things can happen on a daily basis. One day's hero, may be a villain the very next day. Some unknown rookie pitcher goes on an throws a no hitter. Great comebacks, long hitting streaks. Records that are broken. So many stories, so many statistics, so much to talk about. Baseball is the sport about which more movies have been made, and more books have been written.
No matter how "boring" some people keep saying baseball is, the number of fans that go to ballgames every year keeps rising. This season an astonishing 79 million fans went to Major League games and more than 20 million packed minor league stadiums.
My favorite baseball game was the first one I saw live, on September 4th, 1977, between the Braves and the Mets at Shea Stadium. Both teams were at the bottom of their divisions, but to me they were the best teams ever on that particular Sunday.
The best game I've seen was the 7th game of the 1991 World Series, when Jack Morris of the Twins redefined the word "hero" by throwing a 10 inning shutout to win the game 1-0 to the Braves.

It's the greatest game in the world. It is so different than any other sport. It's the only sport where the defense controls the ball. It has no time limit. It's the only sport where you can fail 70% of the time and still be good enough to be elected into the Hall of Fame. It is the ultimate mental contest.

baseball would be my favorite sport because of the speed of the game. baseball is really the only sport thats so deliberate you actually have time to score everything. i use to work for a newspaper as a reporter and it was better sitting in the pressbox watching the game because of the nature. i like how every player has a chance to contribute. you never know who is going to come through. unlike football and basketball your best players are always going to be up during crunch time and are expected to contribute. whereas in baseball you can always send up your best hitters in the 9th inning with the game on the line. baseball makes heroes out of the unexpected players.

I love baseball because it is fun to watch. It's facinating to see how people can throw so fast and be so talented. I love learning about the history of baseball also. I went to cooperstown and the whole town is all about baseball. The day I went there, I was like I definately want to live there. It was very cool. My favorite baseball game gotta be game 7 of the ALDS Yankees and the Red Sox. That was th best.

Because of the organization and strategy of the game. n no other sport can only 2 of the players make as much of a difference on the field such as when a pitcher and catcher are really on fire. My favorite game II wouldn't say I have one real game in mind but any pitching war where you see a low scoring 1 run game.

For one it is a game you can play by yourself, which I did as a kid growing up. Practice, practice, practice. You can't get hurt as
easily as football or hockey and I just have always loved it. My
favorite game was probably the Opening Day game 1975 for the
Cleveland Indians when Frank Robinson was the first Black Mgr. and he hit a game winning home run since he was also the DH
that first year.

Baseball is my favorite sport, Why?, well the hardest thing to do in sports is hit a round ball with a round bat, Baseball is life it teaches you every lesson you need to know in life. It also is played in the beautiful out-doors. you also have to use your head and think, not just your brawn.

It's not and I don't watch it. I went to a Dogers game years ago but I would rather watch or participate in a good pool game.
