I once read in a magazine that if you stroke the top of your mouth with your tongue, that it activates some nerves that keeps you awake. I 've tried it a few times...and surprisingly, it sometimes works.
Just an alternative!! :)

Coffee, go to the rest room and splash cold water on your face, chew gum, go outside for a minute to get some fresh air. This all works for me when I am tired and bored at work.
