It was not me...but I used to do that sort of thing at Uni...well not pinch.....just relocate it around the next aisle....a purile joke I know....even better was putting extra produce into trolleys without people noticing.....so when they get to the check out they get all sheepish and confused...especially when the cashier has already picked it out and is trying to find the price tag (which you have already removed) from said embarassing item
This trick is less likely to work since the introduction of the barcode...and people are less shamefaced then they used to be.
I appologise for my actions but it was 15 years ago!

How can you pinch a trolley? And if you did, would it hurt?
Sorry.. anyway.. I have no idea who pinched your trolley, but I saw it happen to someone else though.. I was standing around waiting for a friend and a lady came over and was confused - her trolley was missing.. So she looked around and found the culprit a few feet away.. some woman had grabbed it by mistake as they both had some produce in the trolley (trolley...hee hee hee)... anyway, she walked right up to the lady and said loudly.. Excuse me.. I think that's MY (trolley) you've got there! The other lady was astonished to find out that she had indeed taken the other lady's trolley.. especially when the lady pointed out that her child's sippy cup and other personal items were actually in the trolley with the food. It was quite hilarious to be watching the whole situation! Anyway.. there are definitely some trolley pinchers out there so you had better keep an eye on yours from now on... (that goes for saying.. watch out for invisible condom stealing elves in your apartment. They're lurking around somewhere.) I'll give you my first grade teachers name if you email me for it. She had an eye in the back of her head. Maybe she can tell you where to get one!

What do you mean? Why would any one pinch your trolley?. Was there some shopping done by you in the trolley or was it empty at the time of pinching ?. Looks like someone thought that it was not taken by anyone and chose to take it. A genuine confusion or someone needed it badly , so they took it. Did you take another trolley and complete your shopping?

Do you mean the one with your name on it and the picture that matched your tattoo? I must have done that accidentally because the name tag was so close to mine. I should have checked the tattoo image - Sorry.

Twas not I!
My ex and my daughter had theirs pinched loaded up with everything they needed to survive over Xmas one year.
He was so incensed it was a good reminder to my daughter why we were no longer together!
