The definition of a specie is a group of creatures that cannot interbreed with another specie. Therefore one could not make a chimp/human or gorilla/human hybrid, not anymore than making a chimp/gorilla. And those are the species that are the closest to us.
We have 23 pair of chromosome, but the information in them does not match those of apes. For instance, the gibbon (another great ape) has some of the genes of its chromosome 14 being simular to those found on human chromosome 2 and 17 (see link). In gorilla, the chromosomes 4 and 19 correspond to humans chromosomes 5 and 17. Every DNA tells a similar story, but the chapters are out of sequence from specie to specie. But to interbreed, the father and mother chromosome have to match in what they do, so to create a half-man half-monkey hybrid, you would first have to create a monkey with the chromosome in the same order as it is for humans. And that is a tall order...

Men are evolved from apes, monkeys from monkeys, there is no cross over, they are not the same group. Which half would you have for the man, top or bottom?

Well as far as I know we still arent able to blend seperate species. Like man and ape or tiger and zebra.. for example... :)
