I believed they were a better team.
I had hopes they would make the playoffs.
But back in May, if you had told me The Tigers would beat the yankees in post season, and be 2 games away form being American League Champions, I would have laughed at you and asked what the heck are you smoking!
I love your avatar! Very CLASSIC!

Michigan native here. Lived in San Jose, CA since '77. Became a S.F. Giants fan over the course, but I never leave the A.L. "Motor City Madmen Tigers" out in the cold. I was age 14 when they took the World Series in '68, and just from memory can still name every player/position from that winning team! Tigers in '06 baby!! Could be a repeat performance against the Cards just like in '68. ***My son & I were at the 5/28/06 Giants/Rockies game when Bonds hit #715...yeehaw!!

after they were swept by the lowly royals at the end of the season, i would never have believed that they would take the yankees 3-1....but you have to admit they were hot to start the season and they did win 95 games so they have the capacity to whip it up against any team.

I knew their pitching was top notch and they'd do better this year.. that they'd have a winning season after watching them the first 3 months, and going to 12 games this summer... I believed they'd make it to the playoffs.. but to destroy the Yankee's line up in 3 straight games, I had doubts... everyone did.. i'm glad they proved me wrong!! GO TIGERS!!!

Sure was a believer. Just ask Georgie Porgie. I picked Tigers
to march right over the A's...left right left right. Today Kenny
Rogers is going to piss off Milton Bradley and pitch a great game.

If the A's get eliminated, it's their own fault for starting Loaiza in game 2...that didn't make a whole lot of sense to me when you have Haren and Hardin...I'm not very high on Zito, but you kind of have to start him in game 1

By the All-Star game, I figured they were no fluke.
Were I a betting man, my money would be on the Tigers.
