Circumcision was introduced to the non-Jewish people of this country in 1860 as a punishment/cure for the deadly sin of masturbation.

Quotes from the medical journals of that day:

"In cases of masturbation we must, I believe, break the habit by inducing such a condition of the parts as will cause too much local suffering to allow of the practice being continued. For this purpose, if the prepuce is long, we may circumcise the male patient with present and probably with future advantage; the operation, too, should not be performed under chloroform, so that the pain experienced may be associated with the habit we wish to eradicate."
Athol A. W. Johnson, On An Injurious Habit Occasionally Met with in Infancy and Early Childhood, The Lancet, vol. 1 (7 April 1860)

"There can be no doubt of [masturbation's] injurious effect, and of the proneness to practice it on the part of children with defective brains. Circumcision should always be practiced. It may be necessary to make the genitals so sore by blistering fluids that pain results from attempts to rub the parts."
Angel Money, Treatment of Disease in Children. Philadelphia: P. Blakiston. 1887, p. 421.

These were DOCTORS THAT TREATED CHILDREN! It was sick brains like this that introduced this country to circumcision. Of course as time went on this rational fell out of favor with the public so other reasons for continuing the mutilation for money had to be invented. All of a sudden it became impossible to clean an uncircumcised penis so the story of circumcision for hygiene came about. Then it was venereal disease, then it was cancer, then it was HIV AIDS, then it was ???, and the it was ????. All just one more load of crap after another!

Oh! And now I see that circumcision makes your dick bigger. Yeah Right! reducing the volume by 12% makes it bigger. I guess that makes as much sense as the other reasons for circumcision. If you think it looks bigger you are still under the effects of the anestetic or some other dope.

Actually if you recieved a "tight circumcision" before puberty the tight skin restricted the growth of your penis, resulting in a shortened shaft.

If a doctor says circumcision is needed, it is because he/she doesn't know or want to know how to treat an intact penis. He can make more money cutting than he can by prescribing a cream to treat whatever little problem might arise.

COMPETENT DOCTORS can treat the rare problems that occur in uncircumcised males without surgery; INCOMPETENT DOCTORS circumcise.

Complications occur at a rate of about one out of ten circumcisions, while most are said to be minor (I don’t know by who’s standards), some result in serious disfigurement or loss of function or even the total loss of the penis or life of the child. (CAN YOU IMAGINE DEALING WITH ANY OF THESE RESULTS OF AN UNNECESSARY ELECTIVE SURGERY?) These things happen in even major hospitals in this country!

A boy’s penis is HIS (it is not his mothers property!!) it should be left as it was made. Parents have only custodial rights over the health and welfare of a child they do not own him or his penis.

I see a lot of females answer these questions, like they have so much experience with what it is like to be circumcised. They have no idea! If her clothing was to grate against her clitoris every day all day long, a woman might get the beginnings of an idea. They think it is just a flap of skin; with 240 feet of nerves and 20,000 specialized nerve endings the foreskin is comparable to the female clitoris.

It comes to this; some new mothers are so damn lazy they are willing to have their new baby cut on because somebody said it is easier than cleaning him or teaching him hygiene!

More and more little boys are being left intact; those that are cut are going to see that they are missing something. Some day they will look it up and find just what was taken from them, without their consent. Do you want your son to ask, "Why did you have my penis cut? What gave you that right?

No circumcisions before the age of 18.
His body. His choice.

No it is not required for every men. Circumcision has good and bad efforts. There are severe contradictions between these two. Circumcision is removal of foreskin of penis and it is done compulsorily by all Muslims. It is said the persons had circumcision do not get STD/AIDS etc., but there are many Muslims have these diseases. It is no doubt the penis will be clean but it also gives chances of directly getting infections when men have sex with many women. So it the for the person to keep himself healthier in his own way. It is also highly debated that all the uncircumcised males do not get the diseases. Further it is as per and against the religious beliefs of various religion.

There is also no evidence from any male or female that they get more sexual pleasure due to circumcisions.

So it is better to carry on as per ones own practice.

That depends on several things. In the past, people have been circumcised for different reasons. For example Jewish people circumcise all their boys for religious reasons. Peope have also done it citing medical reasons, though these days the general consensus is that circumcision will not improve health.

Another way to think about it is that this is the way humans are designed. So obviosuly there must be a reason it is there!

nope - there is no medical or health reason to circumcise. Any penis can develop infections or get STD's or cancer. Any penis can be dirty or smelly from neglect.

but bottom line is, if the penis is kept clean, sex is done with care and condoms and you lead a healthy lifestyle, then you minimize your risks of something bad happening down there. Jus tlike by being active and eating right, you reduce your risk of heart attack.

So, look after your equipment and it will work fine for many many years to come without having a very intregal part of it removed.

THAT IS A RELIGIOUS THING in come cultures its not a NECESSARY its also for looks. If don't get circumcised you must clean your foreskin if you don't it will cause infections and it will catch while having sex causing the man some discomfort.

I guess I can answer your question with a question:
Should every girl be circumcised>
I mean, even though it's ILLEGAL, there would be a much lower occurrence of yeast infections, BV, HIV, and many other STD's.

Oh wait- I forgot that mutilating genitalia is "sexy".
Right,
Intact penises are natural, self-cleaning, self-lubricating, and above all, NORMAL.

I don't know if anyone mentioned this yet...there are cases where the foreskin is actually too tight & surgery alleviates this problem.
If young boys are taught good personal hygiene there's no other reason (other than religious) to have it done.
