Geez! I thought I was going crazy, that I was in some kind of weird cosmic loop and doomed to repeat it forever! I'm trying to use a mind block (om mani padme hum om mani padme hum ...) in order not to conjure up some vaguely remembered face from the past. At first it was just occasionally - the face, the phone - okay, so what, right? Then the conscious awareness that THIS HAD HAPPENED BEFORE. Then for fun I started thinking of long buried acquaintances and - BRRRRINGGGG! "Wanna buy some windows?" So it got annoying, yeah - like how many windows does one need! But then the faces wouldn't stop coming! Then the phone, then the faces, the phone, ... It feels a little less lonely and a bit less crazy knowing I'm not alone.

How about thinking of someone from the past and the phone rings and its that same person trying to sell Mary Kay products. How do you cross out a memory?

Good question.... no one ever calls me, lol apart from my parents and mates, which is enough, If only a Double Glazing sales person was to call, imagine how much i would enjoy that.

I used the federal "opt-out" program, and it worked. I was bothered by telemarketers every day, then signed up. It's good for five years (no telemarketing cold calls....each violation costs them $500). I don't remember the URL, but a search for something like "telemarketers," "telemarket opt-out," or similar should get the URL for you. ***Maybe it's "Federal no-call list," or "do not call list?".......I think that might be it.***
