I think you should tell your friend that you also love him. Friendship is the greatest foundation one could ever have for a marriage.Marriages which are based on true friendship are the most long-lasting marriages. I think if you hold back now then you will regret it all your life.

He's scared. Maybe he said that not thinking you'd feel the same, as an easy way out. Instead, you felt the same, giving him something to back away from. Another possibility is that he may be scared of love. Many are, and it causes them to run. Another possibility is he could have realized the two of you aren't meant to be, and in being a good person, he's trying to find you someone that is right for you. Whatever, there's many things that could be going on here. Suggestion, talk to him. Don't back away, have courage. Ask him what the hell is he feeling, and he can't tell you something like that and expect you to forget it and allow him to find you someone different. It's not right. So, good luck.

He's surely insecure. If he told you that it was either to get in your pants or b/c he needs to be more confident in what he does. Talk it out, see what happens and dont worry if your really interested in whats going on ull know if he's telling the truth. Go call him and tell u to meet u some where and talk it out.

It should all work out if he really loves you and you reasure him that everything is fine and that you love him. But dont make yourself look like you need him, just in case he's one of those that only manipulates for sex.

Hmm sorta hard...I had this done to me before...
Well I would feel flattered about the marriage part because it means he wants to be with me.
To me it might mean he feels that I don't deserve him and wants to me to find someone better then him...
If I love him very much then I would tell him there is noone in the world I would wanna be with then him..
But if he keeps denying my love then I would eventually have to move on

tell him/her how you feel about him/her because maybe he/she told you that because he/she is afraid that your friendship will be ruined.. if he/she still insist that you shuold look for someone better then move on and be just good friends..atleast you wont regret that you never told him/her what you really feel..
