Actually, sperm can survive up to five days in the woman's reproductive tract. This is the reason why even though a woman's egg can only live for 12-24 hours, she is potentially fertile for about one week per cycle — five days for sperm viability, plus two days for the possibility of two eggs being released in any given cycle.
Doctors have also observed that women undergoing invitro fertilization for the first time may release upto three eggs at one time. However, they found that such women were likely to arrive at menapause earlier.
Whether one or two eggs have been released can only be ascertained from a doctor.

You would not know the answer to the question until you have an Ultra Sound done. If you released two eggs you will be having fraternal twins ( not identical twins)

You. don't know and the doc prolly couldn't tell either unless he/she did a sonogram shortly after you ovulated. If you gave birth to twins and one's a boy and one's a girl there was two eggs. Or if they are the same sex, but look completely different there was two eggs. Other wise there is no way to know.
