Stop drinking now! Even without drinking, drugs and smoking children are preemies, have medical problems etc. Its the luck of the draw, but you want it to be as perfect as possible. I had a friend who is a alcoholic she had 4 children all of which she drank through her whole pregnancy, the first three are perfectly fine, the youngest she had complications, was it due to drinking only God knows. The child has a small handicap but is beautiful, my ex-friend has to live with this the rest of her life. If you have a problem get help for the babies sake.

saw in an ad that one glass of wine had on the day of conceiving the baby [may be part of a celebration] is ok, not harmful but one bottle everyday for 6 weeks, well i am not sure. why not tell your ob-gyn about it and perhaps clear your doubts with any tests the doc recommends.

Wouldn't worry myself to death over it. Loads of babies are conceived when mum has been at the bottle. Ask your practitioner.
