first if the joint is clicking when u turn and ill bet it is u cant replace just the joint. u should replace the whole shaft wich is easier and cheeper neways. remove the center nut from the c v shaft while the car is on the ground this will take either an impact wrench or a breaker bar and u will have to buy a socket to fit as c v shaft nuts are usually big and c v sockets dont come in most standard tool kits. then lift the front of the car so u can roll under it with a creeper second take the left tire off. third remove the cotter pin of the tie rod then remove the nut, tap the spindle with a hammer til the tie rod comes loose u may have to increase power with each blow until it comes loose and use a fairly big hammer a carpenters hammer is not big enough, 3 to 5lb maul should work great. by removing the tie rod u can turn the wheel freely of the rack and pinion next remove the cotter pin from the lower ball joint then remove nut. use same step with hammer to seperate lower ball joint from spindle, u may also need a pry bar to pry down on the lower control arm to get the ball joint to come loose as u hit the spindle with a hammer at this point the spindle should be haning by the strut. u can purchase a pickle fork to remove tie rod and ball joint as well. next using a punch and the same big hammer, hit the center of the c v shaft with the punch til it come loose from the spindle, then grab the shaft and pull it out of the spindle this may take some jockeying to move the spindlde and c v joint sometimes they dont like to seperate once loose. next use two pry bars, crawl under the vehicle find the inside joint where it goes to the transmission with one pry bar on each side between the trany and joint, pry the shaft out put a bucket under the joint as u may loose alittle fluid, dont forget to replace fluid, install is reverse procedure GOOD LUCK
