Our constitution seems to be vanishing a little bit each day. Our First Amendment is disregarded by the current administration with "free speech zones" where ever Bush goes. Our Second Amendment has been trampled beyond any recognition, and after the wave of school shootings faces more disregard by lazy politicians who can only call for more gun control as a solution (even though it wont change a thing). Our Fourth Amendment has been revoked. I dont care how the Bush brownshirts try to rationalize it wire tapping is unconstitutional. Perhaps my tin-foil hat is on a bit tight this morning but it seems our rights are being taken from us a bit by bit each day. What do you all think?

what you see is the years of the "me" generation coming to fruition!all for the individual, nothing in return to the body of society? more wealth, more greed, special interests in control to make the US what they want ? the people have to take back control of their government and day to day life. work pressures mount ,family life sufferes ,children neglected both mentaly and socially by parents forced to work all day and bring home work?no vacations no free time to think and rejuvenate? "hell in a hand basket' is what my Granpa always said? maybe the old guys had it right?

I believe the American Government is digging itself a hole. I think that America will lose in dominence in the world over the next decade. The current leadership bullies other countries into conforming to what America believes is the right way. Unfortunately the UK is heading in a similar direction. With the amount of immigrants heading in now that the EU has opened up, it is slowly crashing the economy.
Countries like India and China are a quiet unknown quantity. With more and more companies shifting their work over there for cheaper labour rates, all they are doing is strengthening their economy while weakening thier own. I believe that given enough time, one of these countries will become the new world power.... I know it sounds odd... but when you look at all the facts around you.... it is actually realistic.

Yes, it is going to hell but I still do what I can. Like volunteering, voting, leafleting and the like. I'm not going down with out a fight!!

The "Patriot Act", the NSA are examples of the sinister and underhanded dealings of this administration. Airports have become the epitome of "Big Brother". There is public hysteria over undocumented aliens and now talk of a wall, to which the ONLY purpose of is to keep Americans IN. Border security is tightening, and not for our protection, but for far more sinister dealings.

So do what you can, as an American. Keep the faith.

Peace.

I agree. To add insult to injury, the desire to give amnesty to illegal immigrants is an effort to bring even more people into the country legally who don't know or care about our rights. They just want the wealth that decades of insisting on those rights has distributed among the populace instead of concentrating among a moneyed elite.

We need to INSIST on citizenship process for ANYONE allowed to stay in this country beyond their visitor's visa and to deport all illegals while imprisoning corporate leaders that recruit and employ these people. We ned to INSIST that the Bill of Rights be taught each year starting in fifth grade and ending in twelfth so that we have an educated citizenry.

We also need to INSIST that corporations are forbidden from putting even one dime into any political effort. Corporations are not people. Period.

I would still not want live anywhere else....I agree with free speech zones....how would you like to be at a funeral for your son who died in war, and have group of people chanting in the back ground about how they were glad he died because of the US allowing gays to live here.....I am all for free speech but there is a line that needs to be drawn....I am in agreement with you on wire tapping, I don't think it is a must....but go live in Iran or any other country in the middle east, and see what free speach gets you....dead or in jail....

I'm afraid so, all because of the incompetent mind of Bush! Yes, I have to agree with you that our constitutionally-guaranteed rights are being slowly taken away because of the President's post-9/11 policies!!! And yes, America is heading straight to hell on Route 666 all because of Bush!!!!!!!!! You get the picture, so I won't go into it any further!

That is exactly what I tell people who are voting to discriminate against a group or party not of their own. Let's just toss out there the right to same sex marriage. I'm telling you. I vote yes! Because someday, one of these crazy laws is gonna apply to me and I'm gonna want backing. There is strength in numbers - hellooo...united we stand!

[EDIT] I get thumbs down for it see....to hell in a handbasket.

It's just you.
You are wrong on all counts.
Evidently you get your information from the Al Qaeda News Network.
You aren't listening to any American News Media.
