I personally think that if you use methadone in the right way and reduce oved a long period of time it can work in your favour, too many ppl have said that it is worse than heroin itself but half the time this comes from ppl that have abused it rather than used it to their advantage! I was on 120ml yes 120ml! because i just used it (at first) on top of me gear to get more high and upped it again and again, i then started to reduce slowly over the space of a year i got down to 35ml then eventually to nothing and i did not suffer once the motto i used was 'if you feel well wen you first drink it, you will still feel well 24-36 hrs later' which is very true as 'addicts' we tend to convince ourselfs we are 'rattlin' which does tend to bring it on! So my advice is to keep in the mindset that it is working for you and you dont need to feel ill
Hope this helps.

"When you substitue one drug for another, you are releasing your addiction all over again", (Narcotics Anonymous). The "better" way is to join a 12 step program based on spiritual priniciples. I have overcome my addiction to meth by going to treatment and joining the fellowship of Alcoholics Anonymous. I suffer from the disease of chemical addiciton, and the 12 steps are the same in any of the fellowships. Abstinance from all mind altering, mood changing substances is the only way for me to remain in recovery. I hope that you find the answers you are looking for. Living life on life's terms is the only way for me. Good luck and may the God of your understanding bless you.
