I can find no mention of porcupines on the Australian government's Department of the Environment and Heritage site about invasive species. Pigs, camels, rabbits, buffalo, cane toads, cats, horses, foxes, and even trout, but no porcupines. They even have a dozen or more species of weeds.
As far as I know the closest thing to a porcupine in Australia would be the echidna mentioned above. These critters are covered in spines like a porcupine or hedgehog, but eat ants and termites, and lay eggs like their relative the platypus. They are definitely native to Australia, and part of the unique fauna of the continent.

No, they're not native to Australia. South Oz does have Echidnas, They're prickly but not related.
