Does anyone else hate the dribble they stick on between 9am and 1pm....buy a house, decorate it in 20 minutes, sell it, find some antiques, take to car boot sale, can't cook don't want to cook, find out your partner (who's a spotty, bucked toothed, ex tranny who dresses like a prossy) has run off with your mother-in-laws ex husbands sister's pet donkey....aghhhhh!

Maybe if they axe it people will get off their arses and get a job or a life!

Or is it just me?

I only had the misfortune of been stuck at home when I was on maternity leave. Since then, if I am at home for whatever reason the TV remains off....I will not watch that rubbish! Infact I rarely watch anything...too busy being a mum!

I can't believe you can insult OAP's this way....they will be too busy socialising at their day centres or off travelling the world with SAGA.

I feel sorry for the shift workers who have to sit through that drivel, I don't watch it much these days, not much on night or day anymore is there.

If your not watching TV during those hours anymore, Why are you complaining? There is only about 50 or so channels to choose from. Something there for everyone. I personally like the cooking and decorating shows. I love Bargin Hunters and Antique Roadshow. It's called knowledge. And we all have room for that. What would you prefer? Try the cool Travel station. Or History channel. You might find some of those very interesting.

Smile... some people would love to get a job, but they are stuck in hospitals, prisons, or college students.

You sound so frustrated... if you don't like daytime tv, why not just read, or get a dvd player and watch the dvds of your choice? It is either daytime TV or TV in the middle of the night...

There are a lot of things to do in the daytime, not just watch TV. you can turn off the TV and do other things, in the day. At night... unless you are a night watchman, you'd be asleep. so your problem...?

I must confess, I never watch daytime TV, but there are plenty of people who do. If there are poeple who enjoy these shows, why deprive them of their enjoyment?

Axe day time tv?! Are you mad?! First of all you've got Jeremy Kyle. I have tosay that show makes me feel fantastic. Switch that on int he morning and some of the freeks / inbreds that go on that show for paternity tests or to confess their love for their cousins boyfriends dads brothers dog - they make me realise that actually life isn't so bad and that I'm doing pretty good. Then you've got Phil and Fearne on this morning - I don't see why I had to go to school - you learn all about the important issues in life from those two!

I don't like daytime television myself, but it's a great blessing to my Dad. He has a hard-working job with odd shifts that often leave him at home in the morning and early afternoon, and the only time he can really relax is when he's watching House under the Hammer (?) or Trisha.

No it should not be axed. There are a lot of older and people with disabilities that cannot go out a lot and that little bit of pleasure helps them make it through the day. If you don;t like daytime tv then just don't watch it.

Just switch of your television set and,
go and do something less boring instead.

Sitting at home, watching TV,
Turn it off it's no good to me,

Why Don't You,
Why Don't You,
Why Don't You,
Why Don't You,

No it's just you. I mean okay some of the programs are a bit s*?t but where would you be without them. Firstly when you're off sick you'd have nothing to send you off to sleep and nothing to keep you amused or bemused when you are awake and secondly you'd have nothing to complain about.

not to mention the little tips you think are rubbish but from which at some point in your lifetime you are bound to use!

If they axed daytime TV what would they put on instead as they have to fill their schedule somehow.

The reason why it is usually programmes like they show, is due to ratings, they put on shows which are there to fill in the gap. They wouldn't put prime time TV on in the morning as they would not get the ratings

no that's when i like to chill inbetween classe and watch Dr Phil and Oprah- they are very educational shows. they should axe late night Tv though it's all a bunch of manure and rather boring if you can't sleep and want to watch TV. Although it does put you to sleep so i guess that is a good thing.
