I have been charting my cycle for the last 4 months. Every month my period came the exact day it was expected, except for this month. I am now 4 days late and have taken 2 HPT both with a negative result. Should I go see my doctor or wait it out??? I have been pregnant 3 times resulting in 2 miscariages a a beautiful little girl who is now 6. Everytime the HPT showed positive as soon a I missed a period.

I am in the almost exact situation as you are sweety!!!! I am 5 days late and took 2 tests that were negative on day 1 and 4 of missed period... however, my best friend just got pregnant 2 months ago and said her test did not show up psositive until day 6... so I am gona wait till tomorrow (saturday) or sunday... there are lots of people that do not get a positive until many days after thier missed period... keep in mind when everyone says majority... majority statistically mean 51% and above...so there is still possibly 50% who don't have the typical signs... hang in there I KNOW HOW YOUR FEELING!!!!!! you just want an answer so you can either move on and try again or be soooooooo happy your pregnant!!!! But wait until at least day 6 and if it says neg. and if you still don't get your period try again day 10 and still if no neg. go to the doctor!!! Hang in there I hope you get a positive!!!!!!!! I hope I do too!!!!!! Best of Luck!!!

You have to remember every pregnancy is different.
HPT tests are looking for a certain number of hcg in your urine.
Most home pregnancy test look for 20 to 50mIU/ml. You may not even reach 20mIU/ml till week 6.
I have attached a link that shows the levels of hcg week by week.
You can either go see your doctor or wait it out. You may not see a positive urine test till week 6. A blood test is more accurate at week 4 and 5.
Remember, a negative can be a false negative because your hcg levels may not be high enough.

Stress can be the reason why you are late. If you are 4 days late, then the negative HPT is negative. You should have gotten a positive by now.

Maybe your cycle is just messed up due to stress? That happens to me alot. I'm assuming you're not pregnant, because you stated that usually everytime you are pregnant, you get a positive result right away. Butif you're still concerned after another week, I'd go see a DR.

Hey, don't get panic. Its normal . Even i got 15 days late but still it was negative. It happens sometimes due to body temperature, ur internal disturbances. Just wait and watch. And don't be overexcited and don't carry heavy things coz this will lead to menstration cycle again.

dont worry last month the same thing happened to me.i was late in my periods for about 15 days .i too thought i may be pregnent and i took test butgot -ve for 4 times and i went to doc she took test that also -ve .i was having all pregnency symptoms but i was not .i think ur taking some prenatal vitamins .i took those which doc gave to me .when i started taking those pills i started getting all symptoms of pregnency .i think one of reason for which i no got period which i think is becoz i stessed my mind very much whether im pregnent or not that may be the reason.i think ur also stressing ur mind .dont stress be cool as i m now .i left thinking about that .pregnency ll happen to me when god ll give .so be happy and dont stress ur self.and if ur pregnent u ll get to know soon .and if ur 4 days late in ur period s then definately go to doc ask her for blood test which is more accurate.good luck .i wish ur s may be +ve test when u go to doc.

Are you using a good value test kit? I would contact the doctor if you are showing no signs of your period.
