an important document was deleted unintentionally and i need to just recover - it was just a few minutes ago.

ther are several free recovery software about
i personally use drive rescue .this has allways found and retrived any docs i have deleted by mistake
its a free product

1) The recycle bin may have the document.
2) Do NOT install any program to undelete the document, because there is a reasonable chance that this would overwrite the document if it is really deleted. Certain programs may be used to try to undelete the deleted document WITHOUT installing them first.
3) Depending on the default settings in the word processing program which you are using, you may be able to recover some version of the file using the word processor program alone.

If you had saved the document before deleting it try to see in Recent Documents. to enter you click on start then recent documents.

You can use software packages freeware, shareware or something like this

see if it is still there in recycle bin. If not, download and install free pc inspector file recovery software. More in the article

go to recycle bin and restore doc

if you have deleted it from the recycle bin, you might have some luck with
restoration
