I personally dont think he can tell the difference from 250cc to Moto GP class just yet, some say its bad to stay more than a year or two in 250cc because then its hard to switch, it happened to Max Biaggi and his transition was very hard, well then go tell Jorge Lorenzo, he's staying one more year and probably become 250cc champ again? he's one hell of a rider too.. Dani has a lot of good qualities as a rider, he has technique, he is small enough which is going to be a blessing to ride those 800cc, he has guts, this kid doesnt care who is in front of him, I find him pretty ruthless on the racetrack which is good, but.... that can certainly become a problem as well, he has a lot of pressure, because people in general the fans, the media etc expect him to be the next Valentino Rossi or something..that puts a huge pressure on him, I think he will be Dani Pedrosa a great rider and most likely a future champion, but no Vale Rossi, the same way Vale Rossi is no Mike Doohan, and Vale Rossi will never be Giacomo Agostini, there was no other Kevin Schwantz, some racers copy their heroes, when I see Rossi I see a lot of Schwantz, even Doohan, Hailwood and of course the great "AGO" but they all have their style and variations on their technique and tricks.. I hope Dani doesnt rely so much on Alberto Puig and learns from his own mistakes, enjoys riding more, he doesnt seem like a happy camper at times, like he doesnt enjoy racing that much, could it be HRCs fault? something is not right with that team and it is reflected on the faces of Dani and Nicky, I like 'em both different style, vibe, and technique .. Dani has it all to become the 2007 world champ only if he starts thinking for himself and stops listening to Puig for awhile, but it will be hard, Marco Melandri is not picking his nose, and that kid is hungry as well, short and talented lol also riding a Honda... we'll see
Cheers

Very good rider, but he still hasn't figured out the difference between 250cc and 250 HP. Opening up his knee after a nasty highside during practice shows what I've thought all season- he needs more time on the Moto GP bikes to really be able to ride them as well as a 250.
I think next year will be VERY interesting, with (possible champ) Nicky Hayden, Rossi's last(?) year in Moto GP, and Pedrosa all on the smaller 800cc bikes!

I think he is a very talented young rider, but god, would it kill him to smile once and a while? He has as much personality as a teabag.
