Hi there;
Buy now and fill your tank! While oil prices may be down at the moment, after the elections they will rebound right back if not higher than before the elections. So get your home heating oil now.

Oil prices are dropping currently. I would wait a few more weeks and do a daily price check. If you see the price per gallon drop and then rise a penny one day ...buy it that day because it is on it's way back upward and you have gotten the lowest price per gallon minus a penny which in most cases would only cost an extra 25 dollars if you fill a 250 gallon tank. In which case you would actually be saving money over what you would pay if you buy too early.

If prices are high and you still need fuel, buy it by the five gallon can until the price levels out or ask your local community action agency if you qualify for some heating fuel assistance. some do and some do not no matter if you are rich or poor.

Tell coolbeanie to check her math. 250 gallons at a penny a gallon difference is only $2.50, not $25.
