sure ignorance is contagious. look all around you.america has been perpetrating ignorance for more that 400 years. look at the bush administration. they dont call it ignorance thou.they call it "not being well informed. same difference to me. and yes we are doomed. get your mind right. im trying to work on mine

Only by allowing yourself to follow other people that are ignorant. One can read and inform themselves from many sources, maybe you are talking about being brain washed, starting at childhood and never hearing anything but that doctrine. In that sense yes.
